Behavioral Intervention is a mix of research based methods and strategies used to help students who suffer from their own bad choices that arise at school, in public, and at home. We meet with parents, teachers, and older adults that are considered vital to the success of the child to better understand the impact of their bad behavior. Then we discuss the situation, goals, impacts, and issues with the student to develop a plan that considers their best interest and strategies we need to use to help the child understand there are better ways of handling our problems. Each child has a unique situation that has affected their decisions and we will work with the family to develop the necessary supports to help them over come this difficulties they are experiencing in life and understand the consequences of their choices.
Interview all of the family and supporters impacted by the child's behavior.
Evaluate the environment that surround the child's behavior and conditions.
Work with the child on developing new strategies for making better choices.
Develop a system for the parents that helps to establish consistency
Work with the child to help them understand the impact of their choices
Teach strategies to the student on the best ways to handle problems.
Teach the student's family members the best ways to handle future behavior.
Provide 1-on-1 and 2-on-1 support to coach the child based on need
